As the COVID-19 pandemic swept the nation and changed the course of history forever. Never has there been a louder call for SMART technology to pave the way in easing the consequences.

Deliverables

  1. Create a mobile application for students.

  2. Establish and explore unique approaches that are not existing in the market.

  3. Carefully consider the UI and UX design.


Research

This stage enhanced my understanding of mental health, focusing on issues, symptoms, causes, risks, and prevention, guiding the mobile app's design for users dealing with anxiety and depression, prioritising ease and simplicity.

Develop

In the development phase, I started with a low-fidelity prototype to explore designs, structure the app's flow, and understand its connections.


I evaluated designs for legibility, meaningful icons, and colour psychology, prioritising a seamless user experience while applying UX principles to the high-fidelity prototype. Additionally, I enhanced interactivity with animations for a more engaging student experience.

Deliver

Effectively testing the prototype would require a longitudinal study to take place, however due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this was difficult to fulfil. To progress this project further, I do intend to test the prototype using real life users.
